Rules of conduct for the DWX Swiss
All visitors, speakers, workshop leaders, sponsors, exhibitors and volunteers of the DWX Swiss – Developer Week Swiss are requested to adhere to the following rules of conduct. These rules will be enforced by the organizer throughout the DWX Swiss. We ask all present to help make the DWX Swiss a safe and pleasant place for everyone.

The executive summary
We want to offer all DWX Swiss participants a harassment-free experience, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, physique, skin colour, political views or religion. We do not tolerate any harassment, insults or discrimination of DWX Swiss visitors, speakers, team members or exhibitors. Sexualised language and depictions are also undesirable at DWX Swiss. This includes all venues, the lectures, workshops and evening events at DWX Swiss, as well as Twitter and other online media. Participants who violate these rules will be subject to sanctions by the organizer (Neue Mediengesellschaft Zürich AG), including reprimand by DWX Swiss without any right to a refund of the admission fee.
The longer version
“Harassment” includes, but is not limited to, insulting statements about gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance such as build, skin colour, political views, religion, sexualising depictions in public places, deliberate intimidation, stalking, persecution, unwanted photographing or recording, repeated disruption of lectures and other events, unwanted physical contact and unwanted sexual attention.
All persons involved who are admonished for such behaviour must stop it immediately. These rules of conduct also apply to sponsors, exhibitors and speakers.
Should participants be conspicuous by harassing, insulting or discriminatory behaviour, the organiser is free to intervene in any way it deems appropriate. This includes warnings up to and including reprimands from DWX Swiss. In the event of a reprimand, there is no right to a refund of the admission fee.
If you feel harassed or notice that someone else is being harassed or other problems arise, please contact a team member as soon as possible, they can be quickly identified by their T-shirts (as described below).
Team members and staff of the organizers (Neue Mediengesellschaft Zürich AG) can help you with any problems and find solutions to ensure that those affected can attend the conference safely and comfortably. We appreciate your contribution to DWX Swiss. Team members can recognize you by the T-shirt with “STAFF” writing on the back.
We expect all participants to adhere to these rules throughout the conference, the workshops and all other meetings related to DWX Swiss.
